Yes, wood hinges. I couldn't find any that I liked at home depot... so I made them.

And I use a combo of mineral oil and bees wax on the cutting boards.

feel free, I did the slots on my box joint jig. then cut the shape on the band saw.

I really didn't start with that plan, but I like the outcome.

Built a fire wood box recently out of teak. It turned out great and stores all my stuff for my fireplace really nice. ^_^
