daoc pvp is better than any mmo in existence

even with such an outdated engine, the mechanics of pvp are way way way better

all the beginning part of the video was just kiting and healing, I don't get where... I just don't get it haha

vw melee abilities have positional chain requirements, and getting to the side or the back of someone is much hard to do in daoc because of the /stick and /face commands

so use our strong melee damage ability, we first need to use the prereq ability, which requires being to the side of someone, which has a prereq ability to the back of something, which has a prereq ability to the side of something.

also, all attacks/spells interrupt casting, cc effects last an extremely long time, and playing solo is extremely difficult, which is why that video is pretty impressive.

e: there's no enemy casting bar, either. since all damage interrupts spell casting, kiting like that is actually pretty difficult. backpedalling in daoc isn't a sign of a bad player in daoc, either. especially for vw, because of the positional requirements on scythe abilities and the requisite to evade/dodge/parry for some of our best scythe skills.

I disconnect every time I open my third Stash tab, I disconnect every time I try to purchase something from vendors and I disconnect within several minutes of joining a party.

I was really enjoying it, except for immense technical issues that their Technical Support team has no clue how to fix.
