shieron and atom are obvious; mostly because i've never actually seen shieron tag, and i know atom hasn't opened photoshop since vietnam - i'll get some opinions on this before i decide. cybernetic hasn't actually confirmed, but he's pm'd me a few times and expressed an interest; i'm sure we're all aware of his abilities as a painter, but as far as tagging goes, he is still very much a beginner despite his artistic eye and abilities.

also, jayteare is a maybe because i don't know if i want to use him as a mentor or a judge,

if i could have the mentors PM me two tags demonstrating their preferred styles shoot me a pm so I can host a miniature gallery of their techniques. obviously, greg/sane are going to be the most desired mentors, as they're the only people who actually post tags here now. I'm not going to COMPLETELY allow the beginners to pick their mentors, but in the event that we have an even split, it will make it easier on me.

i don't think any of us have seen shieron tag before, i've seen his recent vector works, and i've seen his pixel madness, but that's it.

melodude isn't a complete beginner compared to the average jsp gdgc poster, but in the grand scheme of things, he's a beginner and can stand to learn from the mentors immensely.

everyone who is on the mentor list can stand to learn a few things from everyone else on the mentor list - except jayteare because he knows everything about everything and is russian.
