We must all be expecting by now that the problem is not going to solve itself. It was an honest accident that might or might not have been prevented, but that still leave us with the question of what to do with the two crack screens and possibly a broken hard drive.
A new hard drive would cost <£60 which we can contribute as a group. I know some of you will disagree on that since you had no involvement with the accident, so it’s understandable if you don’t want to be part of it.
But that’s a small price compare to the two screens... I had a quick look around on forums and websites. They’re not cheap, some even consider a cheaper alternative would be buying brand new iMacs. Being a student that I can speak for all that we do not have that kind of cash available. Paying to replace the broken hardware is definitely something that we have to consider, but we should also be looking at alternatives, Alternatives in time and service, whatever that might be.
It’s a sensitive topic when it comes to money, especially money that we don’t have. But we all know something must be done about it, maybe some of you have solutions on how to solve this.
I’m frustrated... and I’m sure you all are too. But we need to be a group to figure out what to do.
Still haven't heard anything from the tutor who's threatening to withhold our degrees.
