this has nothing to do with the topic but
every single time i read one of your posts it makes me regret i don't read as many books as i want to/need to in order to get better at laying out my thoughts in an intelligent manner.
i'm starting to think that knowing one language in perfection (or close to) is better than speaking three languages poorly. though one could argue that a person who speaks several languages can sorta develop them to a higher level or whatever, it requires some serious discipline, you basically have to force yourself to think in one separate language.
damn languages
There's some evidence out there that points towards bilingual, trilingual, etc people having more trouble expressing themselves cogently because they've got a much wider vocabulary at their disposal.
