With watercolors, paintbrushing is harder and less appealing than using your hands. can never get the paint thick enough with a brush.

sure you can; less water, harder bristles
more water won't allow the paint to hold on that well, making the colors opaque

true, but more control with your hands.
and you have 5 brushes for 5 different colors less your missin a finger.
Maybe I like pretending im 7 again.
