i read this browser security update, and apparently, ie is the safest browser currently.

noway, ie's always going to be less secure because its the most popular. anyone working on malicious sites will direct them at ie's weaknesses to get the best impact, and because ie users tend to be those who just use whatever browsers on their PC so are less likely to be at all proficient with their computers

well recently the metabrowser shift has been in favor of firefox and chrome as opposed to ie, and opera is relatively unknown to your average idiot.

i think chrome will eventually pull ahead, just because google has the money to dump into securing their browser.

truedat, and its a shame. opera is gfg, does all the things other browsers shout about but better. ability to have private tabs and normal tabs at the same time is superuseful.
