my roommate and i played the lord of the rings drinking game a few weeks back with a six pack and a bottle of whiskey

about 5 minutes into the movie we drank half the bottle and were too drunk to continue, we started at about 6:30 and i passed out at around 8:00

you dont realize how many close ups of the ring there are until you have to shoot each time you see it.
