there's this black metal music coming out of france that is beautiful to me, and it's caught somewhere between metal and easy listening, definitely.

all music is potentially angry, that's why we like it.

people who are passionate about music don't listen to it because "WHOA THIS SOUNDS COOL"

we listen to it because it evokes emotion in us, or because it can quell or amplify what we're already feeling.

i mean, i guess minor scales are sad and major scales are happy, but it's more than that
