I think this is an improvement; it's the most accomplished piece you've posted. keep going.

drawing eyes, i understand
but never understood the need to draw one eye

eyes are so unique, you need to draw hundreds on a page to understand their shape
pls stay away from the cliche eyes, and focus on sketching eyes from different angles
eyeballs are completely spherical, but eye lids give the face its characteristics

tldr: draw lots of detail-less eyes. small ones. they'll help you understand eye structure better

Yes, yes yes. If you filled a sketchbook with studies like this and other sketches, your work will be unrecognizable within a few months.

When copying the studies, don't just look at the features and proportions, look at how the artist uses the lines to create form and value
