one equals other in that case.

well I know the 550D pretty well. held it in my hands several times already. the HD video functions are getting better and better these days. the actual opportunity to film with DoF on a normal Handheld Camera is quite cool, and the quality comes close to those of the huge filming cameras the have in hollywood productions. Photographers will sooner or later make a big advantage out of that feature aswell. I´ve seen alot of great videos filmed with the newer EOS models. the 7D is most awesome tho.

well yeah, it´s HD >.<
that´s what it´s supposed to be. "good quality"

I used tourists pocket cameras before that 2x zoom max and even that one was built in, so holding something like 550d was quite interesting experience for me. It took me some time to get a hang of the basics, not to mention constantly checking what other buttons and if camera is still in one piece. :D
Only thing that really bothered me was zooming in while filming. Not really Cameras fault, but it is a bit harder to make a steady zoom in without any sudden stops or fast zoom-ins. It could be just me not being used to spinning the objective. (it was either 50 - 150mm or 200mm sigma, not sure). I already have some experience with normal recording cameras on film before.

well, if you´re not used to DSLRs, it´ll take you some time to get the hang of it and handle it correctly. I didnt do alot of filming to be honest, because I`m a photographer, not a videographer. I find photography to be alot more complex than filming tho, at least with a DSLR. bein aware of all your shooting features and settings can take you quite some time. so well, if you´re having a DSLR and you shoot in automode, go fuck urself :D:D ( generally speaking )

I think your stuff has alot of potential. your portraits ( mostly babies ) and macros are alot better than the rest of ur stuff, which seems quite boring sometimes. you also gotta make sure you do not overdo the post editing. some of your stuff just seems overedited or just badly edited. I edit alot myself ( almost every photo ), and I also had to learn that less is more ! E: most of the times.

I have no idea what dslr is, but google is my friend. Dunno shit about cameras yet, i mean i know more than a normal buffoon, and less than anyone that held a real camera in hands for more than one day. I am planning to get into montage soon so i wanted to record some clips and make a mash out of it. I got like 7 books on filming& photography (2were Croatian, and the technique described in there is so ancient, everything is explained on western movies), 4 of them were also on photography and cameras, composition etc. Surprisingly enough i learned quite a lot in two days, but now intend to read them again into more detail.
