Sure, well you should give it a try man. See if you can do a line drawing (no shading, no tight details) and then take a picture with your phone and post it up. You only learn by trying.

If your having trouble I can do an over paint and show you how to break down the forms to understand them better.

Alright thank ya man!

should i try to replicate this drawing? the line art anyways

Yup, if you want to draw like somebody, then see if you can copy them first.

Awesome dude! I'm glad you went for it, don't get discouraged if you didn't get it 100% right at first, keep trying.

A lot of people's problem when they start is that they see all this visual information, all these details, and complicated shapes, and they don't know where to begin. Whats important in the beginning is fitting together the big shapes- the head, the ribcage+pelvis, and the limbs. Once you get those right, everything else just falls in to place.

Heres a painter where I broke down the original drawing, and then put those same shapes on top of your drawing.

Focus on step 1 and step 2 for now, get those big simple shapes in the correct spots, then add details like the shoulder pads, eyes, nose, boots, etc. later, once your sure you have a solid foundation.

Maybe give it another go and start with the line of action, the sphere, the bean, and the cylanders.

Yea, another problem is that you picked a tough reference image, look how his limbs are all squashed into his body and foreshortened.. not great for learning.

A better choice might be a character from a movie or cartoon you like that is making a big action, like punching or kicking. That way it's much to separate those big parts so you don't have to draw them on top of each other.

Also when your practicing, it's good to separate characters from environments for now until you have them both down and you can fit them together.

That reference is good, see if you can do just the regular standing pose. Also the character is designed much better than in the previous reference. The same shapes hold true, line of action, sphere, bean, cylanders.

Give it a go bro.
