But doesn't that defeat the point of sotw? Could add a signature of the month instead and just leave this. Who wouldn't be able to do at least 1 a month? Maybe we can get njaguar to add some sort of special account feature for the winners each week or something.

Not sure about you, but I'd prefer a 2 week SotW over no SotW at all. The only other possibility is to shift the timeline by 1 day (tuesday to saturday - worktime, sunday - judging, monday - results), but I doubt that's gonna help.
SotM is in my opinion not an option, because the timeframe is too long. Nobody would want to wait that long.

As for the italic part, that's never going to happen.

I feel like giving people a saturday to work is a good idea.

Just do Monday - Saturday, pick the themes by drawing randomly from a pool of pre-determined themes. I don't see why Njaguar wouldn't let us do something reasonable, maybe a crown avatar underneath our signature or something small.

tbh, i find sotw to be pretty boring on d2, its never been interesting past the first week and the only real reason ive been doing the last two weeks is cause it was cybers theme / to keep it alive

i feel like people were more interested in the freestyle week in which case i feel it might as well be "make any sig you want and compare it... i guess...". sotw should be a way to push people to think outside of their comfort zones and have to do a little work finding out about stuff. Apparently though people aren't really into that and I cant blame them, they post on a diablo 2 forum not a graphic forum, no real incentives to do something like that.

Its the main reason I prefer to battle with a render someone else chose
