Thinking about getting an intuos but I want to make sure I have enough workspace, might have to splurge for one of the larger sizes which means waiting for payday :p
Will have to be my Christmas present this year, but I want to sort my thoughts and figure out if it's something I really want to pursue.

What do you use? Wacom obviously..

I'm thinking I shouldn't go smaller than the 12x8 intuos, but $469 is a little steep to spend on something I currently do for fun

i use the Wacom Intuos 4 Small and it works just perfect. Fits in my laptop bag and is easy to use. I would like a med or large, but the issue is your hand has to do double the work.... to get to the side of the screen, you have to move way more than if you were using a small, so you can essentially be faster with the small :O

if your just starting out, i recommend the bamboo or create by wacaom. its like 60-100$ and if you end up not digi painting, oh well. but if you want to pursue it more, use it for a year or so, its perfect for beginners. Otherwise i fear your intuos might become a 400$ coaster
