You using a reference, or just free-minding it?
the lighting looks wrong on his face, since the light is strongest on the side of his head.

free minding, no reference other than looking at body parts
ill try to fix lighting, which parts look off?

i added color through color layer:



edit: i think i like hazel eyes better

installed drivers for my tablet through interwebz and really helped imo :D
however I dont really have too much time atm due to exams coming up again :(





looks weird cuz i just flipped 1st eye lol




any suggestions/tutorials on how to make realistic looking hair?

The best way to draw hair is with shadows and highlights. Think of it as a solid mass and not individual lines.
