If you like drawing and like the look of all the concept art you see around for games, all the renders you use in your signatures etc, getting a tablets the way to go. The most popular/staple choice is a wacom. After that, there's two choices, a bamboo or an intuos, browse the website to know what I'm on about. From the sounds of it a bamboo will suit you perfectly, and is only around 80(?) dollars.
Like the shattered said, you're gonna wanna practice with a pencil as well as the tablet. Once you get one pm me or make a topic and I'll help you out.
my artistic talents are at this time ONLY on pen and paper and a tattoo gun, each diff style of art requires different talents, photoshop seems like a whole other world too me, so pen and tablet will prob make it more comfortable
thank you for the advice, if i need help i will definately pm youQuote (DeadlySanity @ Jun 22 2012 03:32am)
thank you for the brand advise/link, i really appreciate it, and yes professional or at least in the designing field is the idea of career path which is currently what im in school for, but obv there are more talented artists at least in the design portion in general and photoshop manipulation that proves there is much too learn before trying too attempt something on a professional level, so throughout school + gaining cs5 experience again wil be a sound investmentQuote (3xAGoldSeller @ Jun 22 2012 03:36am)
yeah i've tried it for computer, not for tablet though
imo don't use it unless your a better drawer with pen than mouse
well then so far its gonna be perfect for me, i just am not as patient with a mouse and i feel .... restrained ? with it, but the "pen and paper" feeling i think will make it more comfortable too try diff styles, designs, and effects that I may COULD do with a mouse but just not with the "mouse skills" too perform themQuote (TheShattered @ Jun 22 2012 02:34am)
as far as my experience goes, everything you need for photoshop is capable of being done with a mouse
a tablet grants ease, but i don't see it as a necessary investment unless you're illustrating digitally
which brings us back to this question
yes my drawing skills are quite good, no i have not experienced pen and tablet so of course if there are subtle differences it will take some getting used too but it seems there widely used for photoshop work, so i feel it being a good investment
and the ease it provides may prove a bonus to the effects and designing of signatures here, but no, not just going too purchase it for jsp signatures, once i get more experienced in photoshop/designing in general i plan too branch out
gotta start somewhere?
but thank you for your responseQuote (FloraFreak @ Jun 22 2012 02:30am)
