form and anatomy or something would have worked a lot better for a second class cuz people only have spheres to color. nd like, idk how the fuk to maek an apple amiright?

didnt necessarily had to be those 2, it was more or less to go and study color and then paint anything of your choice. we would of then critiqued how color was use properly or improperly

I'm having a lot of trouble making colors look vibrant.

I just kinda blocked them on here.. can't for some reason get them to not look bland

You haven't blocked the colours in at all. You jumped straight into blending the colours etc. If you put down the dark colours in the background your whole perspective of the colours in the flower would change - it'l pop. Use bigger brushes.
