I dont really think we need people to enter, I say we just submit eachothers work from throughout the month.
Makes people entering irrelevant, and I think it would be a little more fun for all of us.

if people dont enter, is then how would the contest work? how would you decide which piece of work to submit for each person? what if they make several over the month and such

its free style brah, you dont need fg motivation to creat something you want and like. or atleast i dont need it.
its not like were catagorizing them, making it less appealing to others to even attempt. that problem should be eliminated.

step 3. enter sotw
step 4. ohh teh knows datdude377 dominates you with orgasmic colors.
step 5. rinse and repeat

you choose your favorite that you ahve seen throughout the month
kinda make it a suprise to them, im sure it woudl be flattering

hey how about, 3 polls per month.

2 weeks for first project- poll
2 weeks for second project- poll

and then we have a sig of the month. that includes people that werent able to compete in the 2 sotw for the month. or if you choose to just submit a tag per montly voting.
the people that already competed in the first 2 sotw can either keep their entries or make new ones for the last poll. that way no one has to feel like they need to make a deadline.
also a rotation of judges might help, seeing as how some judges are inclined to be biased in their decisions, rotating at the months end will better enable entries a fair chance.

ofc a rotation of judges that have a basic knowledge of design/ traditional art.

sounds a bit complicated for a friendly design contest,
+2 week 2 weeks then like 1 day to decide to make a new one or sit on one of the old ones, only 30 days in a month lol

Oh damn, another graphic event where everyone says "in" and [maybe] 1/4 do it, I love watching things flop harder than baby seals getting clubbed.
