omfg children wow gerner its well done the lighting on her face ruins it go back to original and PLS keep in mind ROOKIES for the most part are commenting on your work most of them wouldnt even be able to begin to do that work the ones who commented helpfully on the matter you know are not rookies the rest just disreguard them fully it is well done but maybe go over the edges of the hair thats pixelated with a soft brush blurring it slightly not much just enough to hide the pixels some then take a color close to the red in the pic and do a 200 pxl soft brush in top left corner kinda off the edge and brush one spot set to linear dodge for light source and enjoy it WELLLLLL DONE IMO AND NICE creativity

actually it should be right to her face, not upper right since there is no shadow from her chin on her neck, plus her eyelids and bottom of her nose are lit
but ye, there's the point

Why in the world would there be a light source completely away from the focal in the corner of the picture? Thats not right.

And rookie or not, anyone here can give cnc. If anyone that posts here cannot take the cnc, they shouldnt post here.

E: Also some people cant give cnc for shit because theyre simply retarded, however Kev isnt one of those people.

first of all look at the stock image as a whole the light goes from light in upper left to dark in lower right which = light source coming from the top left sheeesh wow

Wrong.

Just because the light is coming from there that doesnt mean you put a huge white splotch of light in the corner away from the focal O.o It looks terrible, and it draws away from her. The light is hitting her face, so it would be around what he did to begin with, only using a big white soft brush to do lighting is not correct. Granted thats how most newbies do it, but it doesnt look natural at all.

if you read my whole comment its says to put a red soft round brush in top left set on linear dodge to keep it the same color as the BG but brighter

what i did was a example of where to put the lighting just do it the right way

Thats just as bad, nn a light source in the corner period. If you think about it it makes sense.

nothing wrong with lightsources but white blobs =/= realistic light
other than that the piece is overcontrasted, the liquified c4d is way too recognizable+stands out way too much+is pixellated
and it is pretty boring.
