Really depends on where you shop, some places only sell cheap ram, then some sell performance ram.

Is there a HUGE difference? I'd prefer cheaper if they just run a little slower. I don't need super mega ultra RAM.

Depends on what you want to run.
If you're not using it for gaming then it's definitely not a problem, if you're upgrading to a total of 4gb of ram there's not going to be much of a problem anyways.

Meh, I'm playing Age Of Conan and it's been lagging of late, and everyone's telling me to get more RAM. I checked my computer, and I only have 1g RAM as is >.>

So I dunno, I'm running it fine, perse, but I'd rather run it incredibly smooth.

Heh, I run WoW on my Toshiba Satellite, 1gb ram, 1.6ghz dual core processor, and a crappy microsoft graphics card.
Suprisingly smooth, only problem is when I bring my window down it takes about 15-20 seconds for desktop/internet/whatever to load.
Photoshop makes my computer lag more than WoW.
