They are made in a 3D program called Cinema4D then rendered out as 2D images.

Thx.

Time to download Cinema4D I guess.

Lol'd at the last part :P Sort-of.

So all of these c4d's can be made in photoshop? Got a good link to a tutorial on making them?

I always wondered how people got those last touches on their sigs. By always I mean since I started using photoshop. Which is like a week ago. Lol. Seems most sigs are relatively simple to create, and the c4d's make them look complicated.

no, i was in fact trolling you as name implies they are made in C4d (cinema 4D).<-- the name of the program they are made in.
Since you are new we won't get offensive as we usually get when someone start saying sigs are simple and it's just bunch of stuff thrown together, since it all goes a bit beyond that. We take siknatchur buiss pretty serious here, thought i should also mention that.

If your goal s to do requests, than you will be mashing bunch of random stuff together, such as c4ds, sloppy renders, effects, default filters etc. IF you decide to actually go beyond that, than you might have a chance here at gfx general. ;)

best of luck with c4ds, and i didn't mean to be offensive!

Oh I stand by what I said. Most signatures are relatively simple to create. However the good ones are worthy of respect... and I'm sure there are tons of people here who make good sigs. What I'm saying is there is a large number of sig creators who make simplistic crap. Maybe I'm wrong on the numbers; all I'm saying is that I've seen a lot of simplistic sigs which are basically a C4D over/underlapping with fading effects, and a couple effects thrown in, text, and voila. No disrespect to those who actually make well-designed nice sigs... I do recognize that. Hopefully that clarifies my standpoint.

I am definitely dedicated to learning photoshop, tablet art, sig-making, and general digital design. I do intend to be one of the more serious people around here. So you likely won't be hearing me make such connotative remarks in the future.

:) Thanks for the words, and clarification of the trolling

Glad to hear that, just don't give up half the way, or get happy with the result to fast. Really, the first part was more than enough though. There is always room for improvement even later when you know how to use the program. Usually that's when the whole thing just starts and other problems regarding design start to emerge :D

Gfx general tagworm, hope we can change your mind! ;)

Lol'd @ trollgoku

Oh I can't give up halfway. Two reasons:
1) I don't want to
and
2) I spent $450 on a Wacom Intuos4 tablet... and $100 on accessories for it

I've got a few goals in life, and digital art (art in general, basically anything creative that can be made in a picture either in person or on the computer... but particularly on the computer right now) is my current one to fulfill.

My last goal was to go to the gym regularly and get jacked... still not jacked but got a six pack & getting bigger and been going to the gym for 2 years now... so I can say I don't give up on this kinda stuff ^_^

Anyways enough of me glorifying myself or whatever... I feel like I'm sounding like an overly proud douche... just getting at my point that I won't be giving up. I'm also never happy with results until I'm happy with results... and I'm almost never happy with results :D
