If you are going to try to smudge, make sure to put A LOT of thought into the beginning layers, because they are the most important. Sure the later layers help put detail in and look nice. But if your first few layers of smudging aren't really nice, it won't turn out well
Oh i didn't see this post. Yeah i knew this before starting smudge, but the base is also the toughest to smudge correctly. Hopefully it just comes naturally with practice.
