not realy, he did what was right at the time.
He didn't do what was right at the time. Today we thank him and honor his intellectual brilliance, but everyone thought his ideas were ludicrous during his time. He was penniless until his death and could barely support his own inventions because he was ahead of his time. Many of his ideas and inventions such as alternating current revolutionized the 20th century, and he concocted countless machines which he was never truly credited for. Despite his nearly thousand of patents, he still fantasized about destruction which you can't deny in any manner. He invented the Tesla Coil in order to further develop his "research" in x-rays and whatever else which in itself holds its own ambiguities seeing as how it was virtually a killing machine because of the extremely high voltages. He essentially created the modern jackhammer, but at the time he wanted to create earthquakes. Despite the beneficiaries to society, Tesla had limitless ideas on how to destroy people; whether it was armies with giant lightning bolts or entire cities with the wave of a metal rod.

dreams rarely become reality.
tesla is a legend, always has been, and will be until the end of time.
Tesla is generally sketched out of history books, he's done and imagined things past more renowned scientists perceptions yet he's not credited for doing so. As for me, I'll do whatever I can do be written into history. My memories and existence won't fade into nothingness.
