He had to have aimed WAY over their heads, considering he was probably using the .50BMG so the bullet drop is around 800 inches. Not to mention the amount of crosswind he could have been dealing with. Thats why its absolutely amazing.
But as far as figuring it out, theres algorithms that are used to take all that into account.
