it seems like theres 3 slightly varied directions of flow (grunge / staff / stance), its intresting but im not sure if it works very well
also maybe set the layers on top of the render to screen instead of lighten?
lighten tends to make colors blend together (since it only adds the light colors it fill in gaps) and makes the stuff in layers below look overcontrasted

just messin around, not a completely serious
trying to break from the cuteness and negative space

The philosophical argument still going?
