Who said anything about Robots?
(A.K.A There are many scenarios that could lead to the existential of a hypothetical simulated reality. Maybe the year is 3045 and you're a test subject in the beta stages of an experiment conducted by scientists on the potential of isolating a brain from a dying body and placing it into a simulated reality until a replacement body can be made)
Also, we're talking about the potential for a simulated reality, not the actual existence.
Finally, occam's razor is only a heuristic.

I find it easier and more pleasant to acknowledge theory and religion but then just to live life and be happy

then again thats just me :unsure:

i admit there are plenty of terrible examples of human behavior
but there are also plenty of simple people content with leading out peaceful lives

because everything is not black and white, also pointed out already.

but the fact that humans can destroy themselves and their home only shows the stupidity. The part that lives in harmony with nature, is nice but doesn't really make the difference. The most of mankind weights up the least part

probably due to mankind ignorance that everything have to have explanation. i think we are not supposed to know everything and i also think that this will be point when we will fuck up everything - trying to find out something that is not meant to be found out

ud be surprised how many people dont destroy themselves and their home..
and most people do make a difference, even by leading a humble life, their friends and families lives are improved by their relationship
and w/e job they do contributes to the advancement of society, even if just in the smallest of ways
