Don't blindly draw then
If you haven't already, check out CHurley's post and read up on some of the anatomy books: http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=45108511&f=105&p=426198464

Hogarth and Loomis (as well as others) broke down the basics of anatomy and made it in an easy to understand form. Read what they wrote, apply it to your life, and try to copy their studies as closely as possible. I know that a lot of people will often suggest to study these books, but it's for a good reason - it works. If you need to pull out a ruler to measure the studies in order to better understand the proportions, then do it (I did when I first began drawing). Start with the basic forms and try to get your structure fairly accurate. After you understand that, then you can try to focus more on the details. Most importantly, keep practicing!

did you set up these still lifes?

if so they were poorly done...

its a tricky thing creating an interesting still life.... composition, lighting, color, contrast, everything has to be thought of while setting up.... I will set something up, then constantly move and change items.... and if it feels comfortable, ill leave it and come back an hour later and see if i still like it...

I know UncleMuscles what you mean. It was done by my professor and to be honest I didn't like it. Also one of our study was to paint black and white some boxes. Belive or not it sounds stuiped, it was really a great work.

cu...... by far your greatest fucking work ever..... where did you pull this out of your ass from!? this is such a huge jump from your previous work..... amazing dude... keep it up... your anatomy is fantastic in this one, your values are spot on... the detail is immense , blending is prime...... fantastic work dude.
