Thanks for the tip, my shading is still a bit off in spots but getting better every day(alot of the shading also doesnt show in the pic). I got a bit bored of drawing simple fruit and wanted to try something a little more complex. I was only drawing lame 2D images a week ago.

Hey guys, too lazy to look in the rest of this but.
Do you guys use some sort of tablet when you guys draw digitly? Im a great drawer in real life, and would love to have some fun in photoshop. Just wondering!

Yes sir, go browse around the wacom store and pick up a bamboo entry model or an intuos if you're really interested. Bamboo works perfectly though, and is nice and cheap.
It's easy to pick up, especially since you have a background in traditional stuff!

Dog sketch is looking great, still think you could push the contrast more and hit the darks heavier! Especially around the mouth, and your line quality kind of varies (such as the tongue) Ever tried painting?
