SEE I WAS RIGHT

I'm gonna pm you :3

Literally nothing. I mean raising kids or whatever, but that's it, I'm so boring.

Kids are gift from gods, so you can either cherish them or sacrifice them on a pyre. (I admit, I used to hate them, now its fun to take care of them as long as its not 24/7).

I saw Linde post in some other topics, he still hangs here?

Cats are awesome. I'd be a total crazy cat lady if Trev didn't keep me in check.

Lol well this is definitely a 24/7 situation, so there's definitely some cherishing and some wanting to sacrifice going on pretty often.

He's busy with his kiddo too. I might be getting a job soon, I haven't had a job since Cami was like a year old, gonna be weird af.

What?! Linde got a kid? That's amazing!
Shit is kinda scary atm, everyone from my friend group is marrying and is having kids. I swear i can't go one day scrolling through news feed without it slapping me in the face. Not being bitter, its just ...wow.
Good luck with the job thing if you go for it, got any ideas where you are directing yourself on the job market?

Try to find help or at least talk with your friends man, i can't give you better advice cause i don't know what exactly you are dealing with. But talking with people you trust helps, that way you can point yourself in a direction and push yourself so you don't stagnate.

I swear, i just came back after long long hiatus (longer than you). School sucked the creativity out of me, so i am returning to where i found the desire to get in graphic design/digi painting. Here!

What up, man? What you been up to? I am still here, not so often but I don't think I will ever completely leave this place. :D

Another deployment just end, I am back home enjoying my time with family. Kid is 4 years old already. Every day is full of job and home, nothing much going on other than I am really trying to make a transition from service to being able to work as a designer. Little over 7 months to make it reality. Haven't figured everything yet.

I've heard the legends of how horrible hosting it is, but I just emptied my inbox for the first time in 6 years. Let's see how it goes.

Whaaaat?! I honestly didn't know you started family but i am proud of you man. Last time we spoke i even think you were single. :)

I kinda left d2jsp after "many shits" happened in my life, but i came back. My parents lost work, close family died, worked 8 hour+ shifts to pay for education, still somehow went to classes, i broke up with gf at the time, changed work to dental industry and almost failed my education due to everything. It was hard but it got better.I managed to pick myself up, get into 3D and started working really hard in Gallery here in my country. Started as a bored guard sitting in a room for most of the time, but got upped to multimedia and audio tech, built up my resume, and worked with biggest art groups in our county. I also had my own project for diploma a year ago with local puppet theater, faculty, and we combined traditional art with 3D scanning, modeling/printing tech for a puppet show in local botanic garden (like totally proud of that since i solo-ed it). Now I am trying to get a driver's license and am about to look for work abroad (in my defense i live in a capital city so i never needed one since public transport).

I guess it kinda sounds good when i put it down like this, but honestly it was all pretty hectic.

I am not sure, can't remember exactly. I know it was many years ago when you were here last time.

Well, for what it is worth and from my understanding it still worked out for you and I am glad it did. Also makes me happy that you are working in art field - from only few words it seems like you have made huge progress into it. I only wish I had your guts and ability to take some risks to get me foot on this land. I am only making some freelance jobs currently, mainly branding design. It doesn't pay my bills yet, little extra to my payment but I am really finding an option to get out of this army shit and start actually working on something I love. Have done some progress since years ago - learning drawing again and so on.

I really hope things will get only better for you from now on.

It did, kinda. I am still scared of working abroad so i am trying to save up some cash and not sending out the resume big time. Discovering the "art scene" from the inside is interesting to say the least, but it does leave one disappointed. Tbh i'd never want to work as an exhibition/gallery artist here. :) How come you decided for army, was it mandatory or was it volunteer type of deal with promise of career? :o
