I figure this is a good place to ask, where are the old digi painting tuts and practices that emu/shattered posted years ago? My company just bought I gigantic intuos pro and I feel the need to try it out for several thousand hours.

Nice, I'll have to look at your tuts on there in a month or two when I'm not a digi-tard. I went to the digital painting class thread class 1 to just look over the shading stuff, so far fairly helpful, I made a progression thread for the hell of it, mainly just to put everything in one place /shrug. So, hopefully I will semi-understand what the hell I'm doing soon.
