not going to flame you. u´re partly right, but I still think graphic design community deserves to have a place to chat. and chat includes spam. its idiotic to send thousands of users into one general chat section imO. if I´d be admin, every bigger section on this forum would have its own general chat section. but they are too lazy.

People where offered that by mork and pretty much everyone turned down which just shows that i am right by saying everyone literally just want a +1 its nothing to do with 'have a place to chat'

Hard to read when you're failing at the quote system
IRC has obvious advantages ofc, but such advantages inevitably give way to clear disadvantages.
Live chat requires much more attention than forum posting, for instance.
I'm at school right now, and in an irc environment I would be completely incapable of having this discussion with you.

Nope.
Live chat may work depending on how strict your school is on when access websites ect on the internet.

I was referring to the attention that IRC requires, not necessarily whether or not I could get the program actually functioning.
At school, and moreover when you're just browsing a forum such as Jsp, it would be quite difficult to follow a live chat, given the fact that you would absent, and subjected to various gaps in your knowledge of the direction of the discussion.
