your right, it is too monotone, the green is way too strong
its also oversharpened, the background looks like a mess and i can hardly tell whats going on other then there is trees
i cant really say much else in its current state

Problem is that I can't really tell where it goes wrong. To me, it looks good for a good while but at some point in the tut it starts looking bad and from that point nothing I do really improves it anymore, rather makes it worse.
Maybe I'll attempt again tomorrow or otherwise I'll have a go at the next tut, thanks in any case :)

not all steps need to be done, like the rainbow gradient might be making it too bright or something
also, the tuts i plan on posting generally wont be easier than this one, so getting this one down will help you keep up with this class

I think I struggled trying to blend a black and white background with the render.

You shouldn't use black and white stocks, unless you plan on making a b/w tag.

well, its better than some other results tbh, seems like you have a good composition but it feels almost mono with all that purple
not a fan of the typo either

well i mean, i'd love to have more of the regulars wanting to do something for this, whether its like just writing some advice or tut suggestions or whatever, but me and odin have been talking about stuff back and forth and its looking good

when i get my tablet i can do a smudge totrail, because it seems like people always want to know how to smudge, and i think if i made an in-depth guide to that, it could be useful to people who are too lazy to figure it out on their own.

also, maybe i can do one for a full tag again, too, and go in depth with adjustment layers and how you can use them shits
