Monotone.
Is there a b/w gradient map on there? Try lowering the opacity.

Actually, the I had to scale the render down. But I lowered the contrast to match the bg. Might have over done it.
And sure, I'm on the island for the long weekend. Campbell river. You're prob in Vancouver already? I'll send you the bg when I get back.

The outcome feels really monotone to me colorwise, also had problems making the background and render work well together.

thats ofc a good sig, i like how you got rid of the bright light from behind his right shoulder, im not exactly sure if the white effect thing was a great addition or not though
the colors give it an interesting feel, i feel like its old germany or russia and its raining or something




your right, it is too monotone, the green is way too strong
its also oversharpened, the background looks like a mess and i can hardly tell whats going on other then there is trees
i cant really say much else in its current state





on of the best parts of this tut is the good feel of the colors so to end up doing a b/w is not good, you should try to avoid b/w to begin with
im not a fan of the typo, the ks and xs in the top right, or the scanlines
it appears to be oversharpened or something, and the background is especially muddled
