I'll probably get DayZ when it's on sale, I don't want to put out 30$ for a game that I'm not sure I'll get into mainly because of the setting, zombies are so boring but I'll watch videos and read up on it o see if I can get into it

Zombies aren't really that big part of a game. I mean, yes they are threat and can kill you easily but the deeper yougo into this game, you see that it is not between you and zombies. it is between you and rest of humanity. You get cold, you get hungry, you get thirsty, you hurt yourself, you get sick, you get tired, you will bleed and break bones, you will get wounded, you will crawl, you will run, you try to hide, you seek for others, you will be seeked for - everything that can happen to you in reality, can happen to you in dayz. You will have medical supplies to cure yourself but you have to find those first. you will have power to protect and kill but you have to find weapons first. You will fill your stomach and make the thrist go away but you have to find food and water first. No one tells you what you can do but you will find out when you need it.

Human interaction is the best part of the game. it shows how people can be kind and helping but how they can be soulless monsters erasing innocent and harmless survivors. You can speak to them, they can speak to you. some in words, some in actions - either helping or killing, you will not understand until you have spoken.

The gameplay is truly immersive. But you have to get known to it to experience it. It is not military sim though knowing some drills might save your life. Everyone has a chance and most of them know nothing about service. they forget to scan areas, watch their back, move in cover and use natural protection for their advantage. the use of weaponry, ballistics, is really life-like. the feeling is really life-like. and put on some good atmospheric track to play on background and for once you think it is life. fortunately when you die, you will see that your physical self still breathes and lives and you can start again. But you will start the same way as it was your first.

And everybody dies eventually.

indeed. a little over 600$ to build my pc, and it will run literally any game on max settings.

still own xbox 360. don't intend to upgrade for 4th gen until they ar ein the 200 $ range.

I still have my old pc running. was like 935eur with monitor, keyboard, mouse. I can also play anything at high settings without problem.

New PC cost me about 2.5grand tho just for the box. But the cost comes from specific parts because pc has to be aesthetically pleasing.
