Well, for one, Metacritic is saying 86, not 94. User score is sitting at 2.4 http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/modernwarfare2?q=modern%20warfare%202

As far as reviews go, here's one http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2009/11/17/wot-i-think-modern-warfare-2/
Another, same site, different journalist http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2009/11/19/wot-i-think-about-that-level/

do you know what metacritic is? obv. not.

& right: when I think "professional gaming press" I think of "rock paper shotgun", not IGN (95), 1UP (91) or Gamespot (85)
&MW2 was a 94 for a while, I guess they recently updated it

Those are just the first 5 I clicked, But i don't read reviews before I play a game. I either go out and buy it or I get it off of gamefly and if i like it, go out and buy it. So reviews really don't mean shit to me, its all personal opinion.

Sigh, yes, it collates info from various online "reviewers" and gives a game/film/whatever a big dumb number that's generated from those reviews.

Unfortunately it's not a system that's able to tell them difference between a journalist and some fanboy that can't discern his arsehole from his elbow.

Try looking for PC reviews.

except they only use large media, nothing small & insignificant like the two reviews you linked to

EDIT: and most people use consoles. just because YOU play PC, doesn't mean most (or even close to half) do
