If you wanna make a straight line, dont settle for a wiggly line.

If you cant make a straight line, use a ruler or practice making straight lines.

I tried to follow your advice, first trying to make straight lines, then I tried to make exercise that would help more, and I made a point A and a point B so I could try to make straight line that way.

I guess it's the kind of exercise you do often to improve.

Do you mean that I keep my wrist still and move my elbow instead? (as elbow I guess you meant the forearm)

watch a video of someone drawing from their shoulder and try to replicate.. im sure you can find technique videos online

also drawing 1 inch lines are only going to help you so much. These next pics are on 11x18 (i think) paper, so all of the lines are decent sizes
try this:

use a ruler for a template since your lines are rough, once you have a straight line down go over that line again 8x times

do the same with these:

Then try ghosting. All of the darker dots on the paper are what I started out with. you don't have to do it like i did, but you get the idea.

Great imma be trying to do like you, but when someone says ' draw from shoulder or wrists or elbow ' it means that you don't move your hands when you draw the line, you just move your chest for example?
