what other skills do you have? our company hired a few people to create UI/UX wireframes for websites, android apps, and ios apps. if you're familiar with ios ui best practices and whatnot you could look into that. you basically draw a picture of what the app/website should look like, and provide all the layout details (how many pixels away is this block, font sizes, hex colour codes, % widths, etc). you then hand it off to a developer to make it happen

Allrighty. Some steps you might take before getting into business.

1. Set up a portfolio - this one is almost the most important step. Add the things, you think you did well.
2. There are some sites like fiverr or 99designs, but these are overrun by others. If you want do quality work and want to get paid well, look out in your area. I've started making designs for bands. Shirts, tourposters, logos and what not. Once you made yourself a name it's pretty easy.
3. Dont give up - really. The first steps are super frustrating, but once you'll get a job and do it well, mostly your customers will recommend you.

Photoshop is generally used for color-correcting photos. If you want to make money, then more often than not you're going to make traditional branding elements, such as a logo and stationery, which would be created with Illustrator and/or InDesign.

If you want to make money making YT-related designs, such as Twitter banners, YT banners, and thumbnails, then I recommend making time lapse videos and uploading to your own YT channel to display your portfolio. You could also update a behance portfolio or tumblr/wordpress/blog website.

If you want to get better at making logos with the potential to make money, then download Illustrator and start submitting to 99designs.
