I really should probably stop slaughtering the word art and go find a coloring book to do or something lol

btw awesome tut I just can't seem to figure out how to get anything similar of an outcome ( it's what this was orignally going to be before I got distracted)

I don't know if a similar outcome can completely be replicated. I just thought that it would be a good way to show how certain tools, textures and other resources can be utilized in photoshop.
