You have great initials to work with I would suggest that. If you are going to go with an abstract shape, make something at least mildly unique.

Easy symmetry if you choose, stacking is an easy option, you can use any curvature you want, if you have a symmetrical middle initial you can throw it in and use the T's as frames, it's a pretty good pair to work with.

I didn't even think about it, but he's right. Some people with A, W, or S, among other letters, don't get to make smooth looking icons with their initials. Even when kerned appropriately, some letters just don't look as good together.

I think you're making this too complicated for nothing. You should really stick to simple yet clean fonts, same with the design. The whole thing looks kinda cheap and thrown together.

A LOT of people do something creative with their first and last initials, as a testament of their skills I would assume. Or just something really graphical that just screams " I'M SUPER CREATIVE".
