stay away from text and stop using the borders

I started making sigs back when everyone (Yes, everyone, including the "pros") used borders. It's a preference thing, I know borderless is the fad but a border helps close it up for me.

None of these have any kind of flow or light source.

Go back and read the first and second in the list.

Will do.

Played with making a light source (Bottom right going towards Spiderman's face)

better but remember people look left to right so that is the general direction of the flow :) its nice though, just a bit more texture needed in that background or something to fill in that plain corner a bit more.

Yeah. I think I should have duplicated Spiderman a few times when I initially made the smudge background so there was more color/lighter areas VS dark areas. And I'll keep the left to right thing in mind, with the way he was facing I felt like I was forced to keep the light source bottom right to upper middle.

Does anyone know of any good render sites with good clean cuts and high quality images? Video game characters, cartoons, celebrities, animals, etc?

planetrenders.net is pretty decent.
There's a lot of stock packs on Deviant Art as well.

Seriously, stay away from text for the time being, especially if you're going to use the same shitty text on every sig you make.

I see no point in making a sig if I'm not going to mark it as my own. And yes I need to DL fonts.

For the sake of improvement?
You don't have the basics down yet, and it's distracting.
