yeh it does, you can overwork a painting right? it's the opposite of that. intentionally leaving some areas unrefined so the viewer can see the process.

not true, you can critique my work if you like but i spend many hours on each piece
the site was just a template from webs.com, that's all my teacher was asking for, not a highly designed site
also... emus site looks like it would take me about 5 mins in flash, i'm not as incompetent as you guys like to pretend T_T

I agree on both points regarding the template and the part about "under-working." That wasn't worded too well, it just sounds like you're intentionally lazy. You could at least say something like you take a "minimalist approach," or clever shit like that

also definitely agree i should reword my artist bio, "minimalist approach" is a good phrase for what i was going for

yes it is unfinished, but the whole part about doing it on purpose makes zero sense.

why not do it on purpose? the archangel stepping through the graveyard is definitely minimalistic, as well as the still life

i'm studying graphic design and am graduating this summer, studio art is just a passion of mine (and i like the work iv done in the studio far more than my digital stuff)
this assignment is just a personal portfolio that i've decided to include only paintings in
