hold these pics towards your light source, really hard to see details ><
looks like rough sketchyness, if it's charcoal you never really need stop working and blending though

Just remember that you lighting should be coming from 1 specific light source. If you notice it seems to appear to come from right corner when hitting the container, but then one of your spheres on top it seems like the light is hitting from 1/2 way down the page on the right.

It's called reflected light.

Inaga, dont forget to bring those dark values and contrast that you have in your sphere sketches into the vase/fruit bowl or whatever.

His reflected light seems rather strong though, or am I just wrong?

Reflected light is in reality very subtle, you have it almost the same value as your highlight. When drawing a sphere, its going to show up as a 2d circle on you paper before you shade it. I know you can draw better circles than that and if you cant, fill a page up with the most perfect circles you can. When drawing a circle "ghost" it first and make sure your drawing pivot is your shoulder and elbow, NOT your wrist/fingers. Try circles of all different sizes and try spending different ammounts of time on each.

Also its not going to help you to shade thee same sphere with the same lighting and the same mistakes 5 times a day.. Get a lamp, get some blocks or toys or fruit or something simple, and start shuffling them around with different setups and draw.

Drawing something over and over again is only useful if your correcting mistakes
