this is really strong
prolly a bit too much contrast at certain areas

you got he smudging down way better then me.

r u guys just using mouses?
and do u do a lot of the smudging all on one layer? other then when u start adding dodge layers
and fixing specific areas.

I love this style i think its really cool and would like to be able to improve at it.
i have been reading tuts on it but i just think my technique with the smudge tool is way off

what settings/brushes are you guys using on your smudge tool? whenever i try my smudge fades out and looks blurry/faded rather than crisp/clean

why do your edges look so glossy

I use 90-95% with a square brush

why would you use scatter, smudge is 90% on precision and youre using the most randomly generator tool on photoshop besides cloud.

do you have a tablet to use pen pressure? theres times to use it and not use it.

yes i own a tablet. and i suggest scatter because i read a while back that you can get some decent smudge results from it.
