the top of the cube and the right of the cube look the same value. the right of it should be darker.

It is a noticeable amount darker on my screen at least... although I may just be wrong about the value and it may need to be darker than it is... But that's what practice is for :D!

-Google search 1pnt, 2pnt and 3pnt perspective, read up on it
-Set up 3 canvases, one with 1 vanishing point another with 2 and another with 3.
-Start plotting out boxes or more complex shapes if you wanna get fancy. No real need to shade them because as long as you use three different values, the planes will show.

This is more of a drawing exercise that you could do on paper if you wanted, but based on the cube you showed, you dont yet understand the concept and its completely vital. Gotta learn to walk before you can run just as you gotta learn to draw before you can paint. It honestly shouldnt take much time to do anyways

Either your eyes are bad or your display is.

2 point practice drawing. And a question about it as well. Signs such as super market etc. Would the lines of the letters be going straight up just getting smaller and/or bigger as they go? or are the letters angled?

After this try drawing what you see, no shading, just the lines. Then eventually add shading

Think of the letters as being shapes just how buildings are cubes or rectangles. They will follow the same planes as the buildings do.
