Short story long, Photoshop is best multipurpose graphic editing software around. You won\t get anything better unless you go more specific. And even then Photoshop still outplays most other programs.

You have plenty to choose from but you won\t find any better for so many different aspects of art than Photoshop.

Or just go Gimp.

You did not get the point.

Photos. What is this supposed to mean? Photoshop is not just photo-editing software. There are many ways Photoshop can be used for all kinds of art. Illustrator is not half as flexible as is Photoshop but it is good for more specific things life vectoring.
