As is a $20 Bill.
It's a slip of paper, it has no real value, we give value to it.
Just because it's not a physical object doesn't mean it is any less real than that $20 bill, we give the fg value.
@deficerico - GOOD POINT!
@Anybody - And in all actuality, that's like saying that EB@Y, PayPal and VISA are "imaginary". You know, a Debit Card is only used to spend the "Imaginary" numbers that are on a computer screen in a bank. You can spend real money in the RMAH, and for games such as League of Legends people even buy different skins for their champions. Just because it's a game item doesn't mean it isn't actually worth something, because obviously if a corporation as large as Blizzard is going to incorporate a RMAH in the first place...then yes, Diablo items DO in fact have real USD value to them. Would you pay $20 for a fully and best possible geared champion of your choice? Of course you would.
@INaga - Because I prefer to be able to quickly scan through hundreds and hundreds of items and be able to sort through them according to specific stats.
Diablo III Auction House = Instant Results + Being able to compare prices.
And half the time, if you're looking for an item that someone is trying to sell on JSP and they post a link to you or offer it to you...it's probably ALREADY in the Auction House.
