imo u should start to work the color of ur tags,...carefull with the Gmaps and Color Curves u use
and remember to give depth is not needed to SUPER ULTRA blur the bg and SUPER ULTRA sharp the Fg

what exactly do you mean by work the colors? and yea gmaps are another weakness of mine

Thats exactly what i mean the gmaps u use are not "well used" i ll try to find a tut bout that issue

I think he did fine, I mean yeah I can also see where he could improve some, like the yellow glow in the BG almost looks too close+strong to not spread further (Not that it should). Maybe tone the green down a tad or lower the opacity some. I actually agree that this one is badass.

Don't worry, there are a lot of GFX artists/designers that get too focused on one aspect of things. I actually like that this one isn't faded into the BG. Sometimes you might want to look at actual industrial work, such as movie or bedroom posters, even DVD covers/Album Covers ect. Also look at different logos and font styles of different things and actually think about what went into producing all of them. It helps to keep a fresh view with things. There are lots of tuts that are more or less the same but they're all helpful in some way or another.

All that being said, it's good to be original. It's okay to choose not to follow certain rules once in awhile. :)
