Shit your Absolutly right. This is jesus' hands btw. Took it myself when he came over for dinner the other day. Turned my water into wine also, we had a good talk.

Please, do not take the name of our Lord in vein on this forum. Take your hatred elsewhere.

careful when J dawg comes to your house.  First its all nice, hes making extra bread and fish for the dinner guests, then 20 minutes later some nice pinot.  2 hours later hes got his crew of 12 bros over and some cheap hoes throwin a major rager, I can't tell you how long it took to get 300lbs of bread crumbs vacuumed up.  My house still smells like beer and hookers.

Doesnt look realistic..

- shadow of the leaves are way too dark
- tree is bad blended
- thumb of left hand looks bad rendered

...obviously, no one grows a tree out of their hands.

The point is you should make it look as realistic as possible (blending, shading, details etc.).

I definitely agree with what Tetu mentioned about the tree appearing to be hovering over the hands. In your final, be sure to add some further roots / dirt to make it seem like it's actually growing from the hands.
The idea of having some of the dirt falling between the fingers is a great idea! As some of the others have mentioned, blending will be the key to success. Be a little careful with the shadowing as well - it currently needs a bit of work.

I'm really looking forward to updates and the final! :)
