Well. I just noticed i position my renders and text in the same spot each time.....

And a friend just informed me that some parts of each are slightly pixelated, I cannot notice them on my end. Can monitors cause that much of an affect where you don't notice those things? mine is a couple years old.

Text is not any better in the megaman one.
When placing text you would want to Place it Close to the focal Point, and Im sure you thought about that in the megaman tag.
However, the face is not the focal in that tag but that very strong light all the way over to the left.

Should read sum tutorials imo.

Most of the tutorials i find just sort of skip over the text part and focus mainly on the effects of the signature itself.

at the end its like "now add your text and you are done" roll credits...

Just leave the typo out until you figure out other aspects of tagging. It's not necessary.

Keep trying to add the typo. To ignore it will screw you over later when your tags are nice but your typography remains at a beginner level. Expand on all the basics as much as possible until you find your niche.

Don't listen to this person

typography is an entirely different art form.

Work on it if you must but don't just slap text on a signature, hoping that it will improve slowly over time.

In fact, 95% of the best tags I've ever seen from gfx forums "famous" taggers don't have any typo. If they do, it's because they have the background knowledge to execute it well. These are the tags that win daily, weekly, monthly competitions on the major tag sites. To say that not using typo early on will screw you over is silly

Leave it out IMO and work on all the fundamentals.

Thank you both for the input.

On a different topic. does the quality of your monitor affect photoshop ? I have two monitors currently. I can look at one and its crystal clear and once its loaded into photoshop I notice a drop in quality

unless you're using an etchasketch, you won't notice a huge difference in quality, so long you're using stuff made from this century.
