Not sure if this is the right section to post this, but it doesn't seem like anywhere else would be more appropriate.

This is for my girlfriend, she is interested in starting youtube make-up tutorials. Just got some decent recording gear too.

She is looking for a better editing program (free) that is better than windows movie maker (lol).

Anyone that can point us in the right direction will be rewarded handsomely.

Also, if anyone has any experience or expertise in the matter (tips etc), i will pay you well for that too!

I am here to give tips:

1. Random Give Aways are popular to get young aged girls to look at your show (they dont have a lot of money, give aways are really interesting for this public)

2. Ask questions to the people who watch the show, to see what they would like to see next
This also creates a certain link between the host of the show (your girlfriend) and the people who will watch the show.

3. Answer those questions in the next episode, or in the comment sections (people must be able to see that you care about your viewers and supporters)

4. Doesn't really matter if your clips are cut during the montage, most of people doing tutorials do that anyway.

5. Change the way you express yourself depending on the public you want to reach (12-18 years old girls won't communicate the same way as 18-30 years old girls)

6. I could also make a free graphic banner / Profile picture / YouTube profile (Hey, it's Christmas!) if you would like me to.

As for programs, you could do like the people say here... but those programs, (used them myself) aren't the easiest to use.

I would either stick with movie maker if you have a PC, or get someone to do the montage for you if you don't want to learn the new programs.
